Very surprised with Garden Island (I am reviewing the tourist spots not the actual Naval Base). We had found a secluded bay where only a few boats were and it was picture-perfect! We were able to hop off the boat and walk to the island in the water. There is so much to sew from little caves to different type of marine life. We haven't visited Herring Bay yet but am more inclined to do so after this recent visit!

Visted on 27/2/2016. On a perfect Saturday morning. Paddled from Point Peron to the southern end of Garden Island. Broun & Goodwin Bay. Secluded, clear beautiful waters with shades of green to blue hues.

A military complex been upgraded at the moment soon will be completely off limits , 384 million project and countless homeless in rockingham and perth ... begs to question , why and is it for protection or control !

Amazing place to visit by boat, beaches are beautiful and there are places to moor. There's a fenced off area with barbeques, seating and fresh running water for the public to use and toilets close by. Really nice place although it can get busy on weekends there's still plenty if island to wander around.
